I hate huge submitted events. Rawr. Seriously. Got way more frustrated working on this event than I have any right to, and totally nuked my motivation within an 70 minutes or so.
I know I closed submissions for a month...but I think it might become an indefinite hold excepting very limited instances, or a switch to a more open ended style of "You can send me an event but its 90% likely I won't code it". Having this backlog is killing my motivation, and every time I try to work on it I either get frustrated trying to figure out how to make these events work the way the authors want, or dragged off by RL obligations (or sex).
GLOOM AND DOOOOOOOM (I do still intend to do Kelt and force myself to finish Malon. But I'm at a point where I might put them on hold a while and try chipping at them in small chunks, so as not to kill myself.)

Hey I found a glitch in the latest installment of the game. If you lose in battle to the Tentacle beast, the game won't let the scene end. No matter how many times you hit the 'Next' Button, I get sent back to the scene where my character has just lost to the tentacle beast and it swallows me and pleasures me from within its own body, before spitting me out again after awhile. The Next button won't let me get out of it.

ReplyDeleteY'know Fen, if you're having problems coding the larger submissions, I could format them into a something a bit code-friendlier when I edit them. Up until now I've just been rewording redundancies, fixing typo's and ironing out grammatical errors and whatnot. I've left the logic paths as-is (in other words, in a non-code format and leaving the specifics of the coding up to you).

But as I said, I wouldn't stress. Patience being a virtue and all that rot. We can wait.

ReplyDeletetake a break and feel free to not code everything if it requires too much work. Just tell the submitter, "Hey, this is the problem i have with this and i'm not doing it" and i'm pretty sure they'll either understand or hate you for life
but who cares if they have the bad reaction? We're just internet people.
My Libido isn't increasing beyond 20, no matter how many potions or anything I use. It even stops coming up as a transformation thing when I use an item. Any idea why?

ReplyDeleteIf anyone wants to throw money at me at a ludicrous pace I'll code them the matrix if that's what they want. It might take me a couple hundred years, but I'll damn sure try my best. I agree that Fenoxo shouldn't burn himself out though. It's just a hobby. It's not like we're paying customers or something. He should make sure he enjoys himself.

ReplyDeleteRecently i found doing the smallest, easiest bits first really help put the workload into perspective, and i'm much more positive about doing it!

Write a standard API (e.g., XML-based) for content/events. It's largely a one-time effort and once you have it content can be added with little or no additional code. It won't help you with content already written, but I'm sure you'll have droves of volunteers and/or more-or-less trusted individuals to help you with that. No one hardcodes their content, because, as you've found, it's a huge pain in the ass.

ReplyDeleteI don't know any of the specifics as how you run your coding, submissions, etc but it could be quite possible that you (or Internet people) could group up over and learn what and how to code the portion of written. I'd bet it would take an hour.
ReplyDeleteOther options would to split submissions into two. One for coded and written entries from certain people who you ask to donate a bit of time. Send them an email of I'd like an event Imp become a zombie that can only die after cumming. Other section of submissions would by 'Submit but 95% that it won't be used so agree to that ahead of time' and merely browse the second section at leisure.

Are you going to add more to the factory? like if you shut down the controls should it come back after a short time. or you could run into the succubus and Incubus at the mountain area. other then that the game is great and i'd love to see another dungeon

There is however one thing that annoys me a bit about the game as I role a female. It's Vaginal Looseness/Tightness. Some Myths and Facts About Loose Vaginas.
In many cases, women aren't really aware that their vaginas are loose until their partners tell them. They then feel depressed and embarrassed that they can't satisfy their partners anymore. Before you try to tighten your vagina though, you should learn the common myths about loose vagina and sex.
Myth 1: Being tight is always a good thing.
Fact: Being tight isn't always a good thing, at least not for the woman. When a woman is aroused, her vagina naturally loosens as the cervix pulls up to allow for comfortable penetration. This means that you should be looser during penetration, not tighter. Myth 3: Penetration and childbirth causes permanent changes in the vagina.
Fact: The vagina changes its size as it accommodates the object inside it, then it returns to its original size prior to penetration. Even childbirth results in very few changes to the vagina, if any at all. Noticeable changes may only occur if there's serious tearing after an episiotomy, a surgical procedure in which an incision is made through the perineum to enlarge the vagina during childbirth. Since the average penis is nowhere near the size of a full-term baby, penetration also doesn't loosen the vagina.
Myth 4: All men like it tight.
Talking Fact: Most women have the assumption that all men like a tight vagina. In reality, there are men who prefer a slightly loose vagina because it allows for harder thrusting and faster sex. Also, a tight vagina indicates that the woman is not sufficiently aroused, so this can come with too much dryness. While some men prefer a tight and dry vagina, others derive little or no pleasure at all from this. ReplyDeleteI can certainly help out with that, from what I've seen of the live streams it is very similar to programming languages I'm already familiar with. I would need to work based on a sample of your code (to know the format I should use, and how I should parse the stuff), and know what parameters you need passed from the functions, and be willing to provide me with the parameters I need passed to the functions. You may still have to do some debugging when putting the functions into the program though.

Hey, every time I try to download the game a box pops up saying there is no program associated with that action; what program do I need to run this game?
ReplyDeleteI just found a major glitch in the bee girl fight, after choosing an action, there is no next button to take you back to the enemy description. You choose your next action immediately. Because of this, you cannot tell the status of your foe during the fight.
ReplyDeleteOddly, the next time I fought her, this issue did not reoccur. It must be triggered by doing something else first. I have no idea what though.
I managed to get the issue to repeat, it happens when she fails to hurt the player with her sting: "Despite her best efforts, a bee-girl's sting attack can't penetrate your armor."
